Attend an Antigonish Chamber of Commerce “Power Hour” with discussion of a film directed by Shelly Thompson and Produced by Terry Greenlaw.
DAWN, HER DAD & the TRACTOR was written imagining Antigonish. The film is to be shot within the Town and County areas of Antigonish.
This project has had terrific momentum, and global interest: it was selected last May to be represented at Cannes as a project for the Breaking Through The Lens (films scripts by women writer-directors from around the world being presented to international partners), and by the Meryl Streep/Nicole Kidman NYC Writers Lab, and last year at this time it won the Women In the Directors Chair Feature Film award of 200K services on the production.
This film production is expected to have significant benefits for the business community of Antigonish with increased sales while filming is taking place and after through the tourism benefits of wider exposure.
Shelley and Terry are building excitement and investment for this progressive film. For this Chamber Power Hour, you’ll be hearing about the project and have your questions answered.
The event is FREE of charge, however you MUST register to attend.
Some light refreshments will be provided
